Series name: Voltron: Legendary Defender
Canon notes: Season 2 Episode 13 END

Species: Altean

History:
When Altea was attacked by Zarkon's Galra Empire 10,000 years ago, Allura's father, King Alfor, chose to hide the Voltron lions and Allura, rather than have Voltron formed to battle their enemy as Allura suggested. Sadly, Altea was ultimately lost as a result, with only the six residents of the Castle of Lions being known to survive the tragedy. She spent the next ten millennia in stasis, until awakened by the future Paladins of Voltron, Shiro, Keith, Lance, Pidge and Hunk.

Upon her awakening, she charges the five humans to take the role of the Paladins of Voltron in order to face the Galraan menace. While the Paladins bond with their respective lions, so too do they bond with the Princess in their individual fashion.

With their bonds forged and strengthened battle after battle, Allura has endured through loss and betrayal (the latter mostly in her own mind), overcoming tribulation and maintaining her place as a figurehead for the Paladins and the future of the planets they seek to aid. Though now, with Zarkon finally defeated, she will have to do all she can to keep together the team as they uncover the mystery behind their leader's disappearance.

Personality: Allura has several facets to her that make her both a reliable leader and an unpredictable ally. She and Coran are the lone survivors of her species, which has instilled in Allura a determination towards a higher calling: she must do everything in her power to prevent other planets and species to suffer what her species did. While this gives her an admirable fighting spirit, left unchecked her fervor can lead to a vengeful attitude. She holds great prejudice against the Galraans, even those who rebel against their Emperor.

Allura is also able to keep quite a level head in the face of chaos. There have been a number of times that her rational thinking and sense of calm saw the Voltron team through difficulty and almost assured failure, seeing them through to the other side of a trial successfully. This learned composure has bitten back at her once or twice, as she is quick to disregard some of the more anxious team members when voicing their suspicion or unease towards a risky situation.

It is a point to note, however, that although Allura is self-charged with the upholding of the civilized universe in the face of a Galraan threat, she still is a young adult--teenager, even. She is not as worldly nor jaded as one would expect for having come out of a mass genocide one of two lone survivors. She is fun-loving at heart, and a bit of a dreamer. She is easily excitable when she catches whiff of fun being had, and is quick to jump in to a round of teasing if those around her are already partaking. Though she tries her best to be everything to everyone at times, more often than not it results in showcasing just how sheltered her upbringing was - she was intended to be a diplomat, not an agent of war.

But that is exactly where the universe has put her. Time will only tell what the casualties of this war will be, but hopefully it won't be her optimistic disposition.

Abilities: Super strength, Altean combat finesse, size manipulation, channeling of life energy to power ships and heal, quintessence and magical energy manipulation. Of these, I would be content to simply keep the super strength and combat finesse and let everything else be earned back.
Augment Skillset: Communications Augment

Well! This was certainly not the absolute worst situation Allura could have found herself in. Quite the contrary, she was convinced that this was a ripe opportunity for forging alliances, spreading word on the Galraan blight threatening the galaxy, and--well. It was a TV reality show, that's basically a news broadcast, isn't it?

While she wasn't exactly the biggest fan of being implanted with something against her consent, that was a challenge to be tackled later. First and foremost, she needed to get her Paladins into a group huddle, have a debrief. Line-up who was missing and how to find them. They'd have at least some say in where these ships go, wouldn't they? Otherwise what's the point of having pilots? How silly!

Oh dear, she found herself rubbing her neck. Maybe that implant bothered her more than she was willing to admit...oh, nevermind! She clenched her fist, forced it to her side and pushed back her shoulders, lifting her chin and taking a deep breath before making a good first try at utilizing the thing.
